Facebook Sampling drives over 7,000 new Likes for Cook Italian

We followed up our recent launch of Cook Italian on Facebook with a number of key initiatives designed to drive consumer engagement and increase the brand page following.
In December we launched a monthly 'Win a Hamper' promotion, which gave the new page some pick up in key social sites and promo pages on Facebook.
In January we launched the Cook Italian Tasting Club, quicky followed in February with the launch of a Cheese Sampling promotion. Facebook fans could sign up to recieve one of 250 samples of the New Cook Italian Grated 100% Italian Hard Cheese.
All these initiatives were also promoted using a new email programme to Cook Italian's database - generated principally via a promotion on the Cook Italian website.
7,000 new Facebook 'Likes' in a matter of days.
Combining these activties on the Cook Italian Facebook Page, and pushing this with a brand email whilst seeding into key promotional communties on Facebook has had a significant upliting effect on the Facebook following.
The Cook Italian Facebook page launched in December for a brand which is still establishing itself in the UK market, now has a fantastic fan base of over 10,000 Likes, built in a matter of weeks, with 7,000 of these added over a matter of days after the launch of the sampling activtity.
